Why your moisturiser is making your dehydrated skin worse

It's not about applying more. It's about whether anything you're applying actually gets in.

You're moisturising twice a day and your skin is still dehydrated by noon. Here's why.

Most moisturisers are occlusive. They sit on the surface and trap whatever moisture is already there. If your skin is dehydrated when you apply them, you're sealing in dryness. The water your skin needs was never added in the first place.

There's a step missing between your serum and your moisturiser — a water-based layer that actively binds moisture into the skin so your moisturiser has something to lock in. This is what the Hydration Gel + HA does.

Here's what's actually happening to your skin

01

Standard HA only works at the surface — you need two molecular weights

Most hydration products use a single form of hyaluronic acid. It sits at the skin's surface and pulls moisture from the air — useful, but limited. The gel uses both Sodium Hyaluronate (surface) and Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid (smaller molecule, penetrates deeper into the dermis). Hydration at two depths simultaneously — something a standard moisturiser cannot do.

02

Your skin makes its own moisture-binding molecule — and it depletes as you age

Sodium PCA is a natural component of your skin's Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF) — the system your skin uses to regulate its own hydration. It holds more water than glycerin and is significantly more effective at maintaining elasticity. NMF depletes with age and environmental exposure. The gel replenishes it directly, which is why the hydration feels different to anything you've used before.

03

The texture matters more than you think

Heavy creams slow down the penetration of everything applied underneath. The gel's water-like texture absorbs in seconds and doesn't interfere with what comes after — serum, moisturiser, makeup. It slides under your existing routine without changing it. You don't need to swap anything out. You just add this step.

04

Clean isn't a compromise — it's a higher standard
